Dan’s Story

Dan received his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a Master of Laws with Distinction in International Banking and Finance from University College London. He also graduated magna cum laude a year early from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Religion and Neuroscience.

Dan was formerly an active member of the Columbia Alumni Representative Committee and interviewed candidates for admissions. He has over a decade of experience helping students get accepted at top boarding schools, as well as undergraduate and graduate programs at the Ivy League and equivalent level.

Cindy’s Story

Cindy graduated from Princeton University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History and East Asian Studies. She was also a letter-winner on Princeton's NCAA Division I Varsity Tennis Team. Cindy was formerly an active member of the Princeton Alumni Representative Committee and interviewed students for admissions.

Prior to Princeton, Cindy attended Hong Kong International School and was a top player on the Hong Kong National Tennis Team. She has over ten years of experience in U.S. boarding school and undergraduate admissions, and also has expertise in student athlete recruitment.

Lucy’s Story

Lucy graduated with Honours from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a degree in Government and Economics and a Master of Science with Distinction in Analysis Design & Management of Information Systems. Prior to attending LSE, Lucy studied at Benenden School in Kent. Lucy specializes in U.K. admissions for boarding schools and universities. She is also an expert in international school admissions in Hong Kong.

Melinda’s Story

Melinda graduated from Central Saint Martins with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Marketing. She is also a graduate of the King George V School in Hong Kong. Melinda has extensive experience working in various fashion houses and retail companies, including Lane Crawford, Raf Simons and Agatha Paris, and is currently working on the launch of her own swimwear brand in Asia.

She enjoys helping students who aspire to pursue their education and careers in art, design and fashion, by working closely with them through the unique application process and helping them develop strong portfolios.

Tom’s Story

Tom studied medicine at the University of Warwick's graduate-entry programme. He graduated from University College London (UCL) with a degree in Physiology & Pharmacology. Tom received the highest mark on his laboratory-based dissertation in cardiovascular disease.

Prior to Warwick, Tom worked for four years with adolescents with mental health disorders on an inpatient unit, whilst also working as a research assistant with the University of Oxford. Tom has published one review article on cannabis use in adolescence, and a primary paper on brain developments in adolescents with schizophrenia. Tom advises for undergraduate and graduate level Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Physiology and Pharmacology related courses.

Maitreyi's Story

Maitreyi graduated from Barnard College with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience & Behaviour, specializing in Developmental Neuroscience. After graduating she worked at a children’s psychology lab at Boston University before obtaining her Master’s degree from NYU in Social & Consumer Psychology. Following her studies, she worked as an assistant teacher at the Barnard College Toddler Center and wrote about brain development for a startup in Mumbai. As an IB student herself, Maitreyi enjoys working with students of all ages and tutors them on a range of subjects including English, mathematics, biology, and psychology. She also helps students prepare for standardized exams such as the SCAT, ISEE, SSAT, SAT and ACT.

Hayley’s Story

Hayley received a First-Class Honours degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London. Prior to that, she attended Badminton School, a top boarding school in the U.K.

Hayley achieved A*s in both Maths and Further Maths, and an A in Physics and Economics at A-Levels. Hayley is passionate in working with students of all ages and enjoys tutoring them in maths and physics.

Jeremy's Story

Jeremy graduated with first class honours from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Law (De Hume Prize, Elected Scholar 2017-18). While there, he was Vice President of 180 Degrees Consulting Cambridge, and was also involved in the UK’s largest student-run think-tank. Prior to Cambridge, he attended West Island School in Hong Kong, where he attained an IB score of 44. Jeremy specialises in a range of law and humanities-related UK university advisory work and also tutors IB English Literature, History and Economics.

Chloe's Story

Chloe graduated from King's College London with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, as well as a Master of Science in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Prior to university, Chloe attended Badminton School, where she achieved mainly A*s in 10 GCSE subjects, and mainly A*/A in her 3 A-level subjects. Chloe has been tutoring over the past 5 years in English and humanities, as well as preparing students for standardized tests such as the SCAT, MAP, ISEE, SSAT and IELTS. Chloe has also previously published a poetry collection (“The Metropolis of Glass”, May 2018, with The Book Guild) as well as contributed to other publications as both translator and editor.

Austin's Story

Austin graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Economics. While at Duke, he was the president of the Duke Debating Society, Hong Kong Students Association and a fellow at the Melissa and Doug Entrepreneurship Program. Prior to Duke, Austin completed the IB program at Li Po Chun United World College in Hong Kong and the IGCSE program at Sha Tin College. He was an avid debater, representing Duke and Hong Kong. Austin is an experienced coach in debating and works with students on IB, IGCSE, GCSE, as well as standardised tests such as the SAT.

Hilary's Story

Hilary is currently pursuing her PhD in Neuropsychology at the University of Hong Kong. She attended Diocesan Girls’ School and then Li Po Chun United World College, before graduating to University of California, Davis, where she completed her degree in Neurobiology, Physiology & Behavior with a minor in English Literature in 3 years. Hilary has 3 years of experience working with both local and international students on English, business, and sciences across a range of curriculums including IB, A-Levels and AP, and helps them prepare for admissions tests such as the ISEE, SSAT, MAP, and SCAT.

Michael's Story

Michael graduated (Cum laude) from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in History and Asian Languages (Mandarin). Michael specialises in teaching standardized exams such as the SCAT, ISEE, SSAT, SAT and ACT, as well as humanities subjects such as English, history and politics, and law.

Yuka's Story

Yuka has over five years of experience teaching English and math to both local and international school students in Hong Kong. She has extensive experience working with students on IGCSE, A-Level and IB English, Business Studies and French. She prepares students extensively for standardized tests such as the SCAT, MAP, ISEE and SSAT. Yuka graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts, with double majors in English Studies and Comparative Literature.

Mildred's Story

Mildred graduated with Honours from Imperial College London with a degree in Chemistry and is completing her Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at University of Cambridge, specialising in Secondary Science. Currently, she is pursuing a M.A. in Child and Family Education at the Education University of Hong Kong.

Prior to attending university, she attended Roedean School, a boarding school in England, and achieved A*/A on 12 GCSE subjects and 4 A-Level subjects. She won the Silver Award for the U.K. Senior Mathematical Challenge and the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. Mildred enjoys working with students and tutoring them in maths and science.

Steven's Story

Steven graduated from Imperial College London with a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. While he specialises in Biomechatronics, Steven has excelled at all major science subjects since high school, with A* and A in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics for his A-Levels and GCSEs at Louborough Grammar School. He has worked as a tutor at FireTechCamp in London, where he instructed robotics to children. He now focuses on preparing students for IGCSE, A-Level, IB, MYP, and MAP.

Santhia’s Story

Santhia graduated from the University of Western Australia, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Anatomical Sciences and also a Graduate Diploma of Education, with a focus on secondary and special needs education. Santhia enjoys working with students of all ages and tutors them on a range of subjects including English, mathematics, biology, and chemistry. She also helps students prepare for standardized exams such as the SSAT, SAT, ACT and the Common Entrance.

Louis’ Story

Louis earned his A.B. in Social Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley and J.D. from Hastings School of Law, University of California. He has over 30 years of experience teaching at the secondary and tertiary levels in subjects ranging from English to social sciences and law.

Aaron's Story

Aaron received his Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Rochester. He has worked in the technology sector for many years and been involved in development roles for many tech projects. He specializes in teaching computer science and programming at Aegis.

Cora’s Story

Cora is a pioneer in marriage, parent, child, and family coaching, and has worked with hundreds of families for over 10 years. A coach, speaker, trainer and parent of two teenagers herself, Cora strives to foster understanding by bridging generational and cultural gaps, and makes difficult and sensitive topics accessible to any audience.

Cora holds two degrees from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Board Certified Life Coach. She has spoken at and worked with families in a number of international and local schools, and also corporates, in Hong Kong.
