Our core team
Dan has over a decade of experience helping students get accepted at top boarding schools, as well as undergraduate and graduate programs at the Ivy League and equivalent level. He was formerly an active member of the Columbia Alumni Representative Committee and interviewed candidates for admissions.
Dan received his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a Master of Laws with Distinction in International Banking and Finance from University College London. He also graduated magna cum laude a year early from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Religion and Neuroscience.
US Advisor & Athletic Recruitment
Cindy has over ten years of experience in U.S. boarding school and undergraduate admissions, and also has expertise in student athlete recruitment. She was formerly an active member of the Princeton Alumni Representative Committee and interviewed students for admissions.
Cindy graduated from Princeton University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History and East Asian Studies. She was also a letter-winner on Princeton's NCAA Division I Varsity Tennis Team. Prior to Princeton, Cindy attended Hong Kong International School and was a top player on the Hong Kong National Tennis Team.
UK Advisor & International School Specialist
Lucy specializes in U.K. admissions for boarding schools and universities. She is also an expert in international school admissions in Hong Kong. Lucy graduated with Honours from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a degree in Government and Economics and a Master of Science with Distinction in Analysis Design & Management of Information Systems. Prior to attending LSE, she studied at Benenden School in Kent.
US Advisor & Tutor
Marie specializes in teaching English, humanities, and biology across all major curriculum, as well as standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, MAP, and SCAT. She formerly interviewed students for admissions to Stanford University and HKU. She graduated with honors from Stanford University with a degree in Human Biology, earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California (USC), and completed a Masters in Public Health with distinction at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
UK Medical School Advisor
Tom studied medicine at the University of Warwick's graduate-entry programme. He graduated from University College London (UCL) with a degree in Physiology & Pharmacology. Tom received the highest mark on his laboratory-based dissertation in cardiovascular disease.
Prior to Warwick, Tom worked for four years with adolescents with mental health disorders on an inpatient unit, whilst also working as a research assistant with the University of Oxford. Tom has published one review article on cannabis use in adolescence, and a primary paper on brain developments in adolescents with schizophrenia. Tom advises for undergraduate and graduate level Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Physiology and Pharmacology related courses.
Maitreyi specializes in teaching biology, psychology, English, and math across all major curriculums. She also prepares students for standardized exams such as the SCAT, ISEE, SSAT, SAT and ACT. She holds a Master’s degree in Social & Consumer Psychology from NYU, has worked at a children’s psychology lab at Boston University, and was an assistant teacher at the Barnard College Toddler Center. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience & Behaviour from Barnard College.
Giles specialises in teaching humanities subjects including English, History and Geography. He also works closely with young children in building their English and math foundations. Giles graduated from Edinburgh University with a Master of Arts in History. Prior to that, he attended Charterhouse School, a renowned boarding school in the UK, where he studied for his GCSEs, A-Levels and Pre-U. Before joining Aegis, Giles taught English at the post-secondary level and also gained extensive experience in preparing students for interviews.

University of Cambridge, West Island School
Jeremy graduated with first class honours from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Law (De Hume Prize, Elected Scholar 2017-18). While there, he was Vice President of 180 Degrees Consulting Cambridge, and was also involved in the UK’s largest student-run think-tank. Prior to Cambridge, he attended West Island School in Hong Kong, where he attained an IB score of 44. Jeremy specialises in a range of law and humanities-related UK university advisory work and also tutors IB English Literature, History and Economics.
LSE, KCL, Badminton
Chloe specializes in teaching English and humanities subjects, as well as standardized tests such as the MAP, SCAT, SSAT, ISEE, and IELTS. She holds a Master of Science degree in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from King's College London. Prior to university, Chloe attended Badminton School in the UK, where she completed her GCSEs and A-Levels.
Austin graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Economics. While at Duke, he was the president of the Duke Debating Society, Hong Kong Students Association and a fellow at the Melissa and Doug Entrepreneurship Program. Prior to Duke, Austin completed the IB program at Li Po Chun United World College in Hong Kong and the IGCSE program at Sha Tin College. He was an avid debater, representing Duke and Hong Kong. Austin is an experienced coach in debating and works with students on IB, IGCSE, GCSE, as well as standardised tests such as the SAT.
University of California, UWC
Hilary specializes in teaching the sciences, math and English across all major curricula including the IB, IGCSE/GCSE, A-Levels and AP. She is also experienced in preparing students for standardized tests such as the MAP, SCAT, SSAT and ISEE. Hilary is a PhD candidate in Neurobiology at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to that, she earned a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology & Behavior and a minor in English Literature at the University of California, Davis; and attended Li Po Chun United World College where she studied the IBDP.
Michael specializes in teaching humanities subjects such as history and English across all major curricula, as well as standardized exams such as the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, SCAT, and MAP. Michael graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in History and Asian Languages (Mandarin).
The University of Hong Kong
Yuka has extensive experience working with students on IGCSE/GCSE, A-Level and IB English and preparing them for standardized tests such as the SCAT, MAP, ISEE and SSAT. Yuka graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a double major in English Studies and Comparative Literature.
US Advisor & Tutor
Zak specializes in tutoring students on all academic subjects and standardized tests for US admissions. He has also advised many students who successfully gained admissions to the Ivy Leagues, UCs and Oxbridge. Zak graduated summa cum laude from Columbia University as a Rabi Scholar in Economics and History. Prior to university, he scored a perfect 5 on 15 AP exams.
UK Advisor & Tutor
Mildred graduated with Honours from Imperial College London with a degree in Chemistry and is completing her Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at University of Cambridge, specialising in Secondary Science. Currently, she is pursuing a M.A. in Child and Family Education at the Education University of Hong Kong.
Prior to attending university, she attended Roedean School, a boarding school in England, and achieved A*/A on 12 GCSE subjects and 4 A-Level subjects. She won the Silver Award for the U.K. Senior Mathematical Challenge and the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. Mildred enjoys working with students and tutoring them in maths and science.
Steven graduated from Imperial College London with a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. While he specialises in Biomechatronics, Steven has excelled at all major science subjects since high school, with A* and A in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics for his A-Levels and GCSEs at Louborough Grammar School. He has worked as a tutor at FireTechCamp in London, where he instructed robotics to children. He now focuses on preparing students for IGCSE, A-Level, IB, MYP, and MAP.
University of Western Australia
Santhia graduated from the University of Western Australia, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Anatomical Sciences and also a Graduate Diploma of Education, with a focus on secondary and special needs education. Santhia enjoys working with students of all ages and tutors them on a range of subjects including English, mathematics, biology, and chemistry. She also helps students prepare for standardized exams such as the SSAT, SAT, ACT and the Common Entrance.
Art, Design & Fashion Advisor
Central Saint Martins
Melinda graduated from Central Saint Martins with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Marketing. She is also a graduate of the King George V School in Hong Kong. Melinda has extensive experience working in various fashion houses and retail companies, including Lane Crawford, Raf Simons and Agatha Paris, and is currently working on the launch of her own swimwear brand in Asia.
She enjoys helping students who aspire to pursue their education and careers in art, design and fashion, by working closely with them through the unique application process and helping them develop strong portfolios.
Parent Advisor & Family Coach
University of British Columbia
Cora is a pioneer in marriage, parent, child, and family coaching, and has worked with hundreds of families for over 10 years. A coach, speaker, trainer and parent of two teenagers herself, Cora strives to foster understanding by bridging generational and cultural gaps, and makes difficult and sensitive topics accessible to any audience.
Cora holds two degrees from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Board Certified Life Coach. She has spoken at and worked with families in a number of international and local schools, and also corporates, in Hong Kong.
