Our core team
Dan received his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a Master of Laws with Distinction in International Banking and Finance from University College London. He also graduated magna cum laude a year early from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Religion and Neuroscience.
Dan was formerly an active member of the Columbia Alumni Representative Committee and interviewed candidates for admissions. He has over a decade of experience helping students get accepted at top boarding schools, as well as undergraduate and graduate programs at the Ivy League and equivalent level.

Cindy graduated from Princeton University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History and East Asian Studies. She was also a letter-winner on Princeton's NCAA Division I Varsity Tennis Team. Cindy was formerly an active member of the Princeton Alumni Representative Committee and interviewed students for admissions.
Prior to Princeton, Cindy attended Hong Kong International School and was a top player on the Hong Kong National Tennis Team. She has over ten years of experience in U.S. boarding school and undergraduate admissions, and also has expertise in student athlete recruitment.
U.K. Advisor & International School Specialist
Lucy graduated with Honours from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a degree in Government and Economics and a Master of Science with Distinction in Analysis Design & Management of Information Systems. Prior to attending LSE, Lucy studied at Benenden School in Kent. Lucy specializes in U.K. admissions for boarding schools and universities. She is also an expert in international school admissions in Hong Kong.

Bon is a graduate from the Brown-Dartmouth M.D. Program and was a medical researcher at UCLA. He graduated summa cum laude from UCLA where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and was inducted into the honor societies Theta Alpha Kappa and Phi Beta Kappa.
He has helped many students get into their top choice U.S. boarding schools and universities. He also tutors mathematics, chemistry, biology, English, and standardized exams, such as the SSAT, SAT and ACT.

Marcie graduated cum laude from Harvard University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and East Asian Studies, and was captain of the Harvard Women’s Varsity Golf Team. Prior to joining Aegis, Marcie was an active member of the Harvard Club of Southern California and interviewed prospective students for admissions. She is experienced in helping students with the U.S. boarding school and college application processes and also tutors them on various subjects and exams, including SSAT, SAT, English and a range of humanities subjects.

Florence graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics & Economics and a minor in Consumer Psychology and Marketing from the Wharton School. She then went on to receive a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Hong Kong with First Class Honours, and recently obtained a Masters in Law (BCL) at the University of Oxford with Distinction. Max attended the University of Edinburgh, where he received his Master of Arts in Psychology and Linguistics with First Class Honours. Before university, Max attended school in America, taking the full range of APs & the SAT exam. Prior to working at Aegis, Max has taught students from a wide range of levels and institutions across Hong Kong and China. He has over four years of experience teaching subjects ranging from English to social sciences and standardised tests. Besides for his teaching work, Max is an avid musician, having played guitar, bass, and drums for over a decade.

Risa graduated from Duke University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Global Health, a focus study in Global Education Development, and a minor in Turkish Language and Culture. Prior to her university studies, she attended an IB high school in her hometown of Seattle. Currently, she is pursuing a M.Ed. in Comparative and Global Studies in Education and Development at the University of Hong Kong.
Risa is TEFL-certified and has taught English to girls in Cambodia as well as to refugee youth in the U.S. At Duke, she was a Bass Connections Education and Human Development Research Scholar and has created entrepreneurship curricula for girls in rural Appalachia. She is passionate about creative nonfiction writing, personal statement writing, and international student mentorship. She has spent the last year teaching interview prep classes in Hong Kong, and tutoring students in English, composition, and the humanities.

Gershom was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Toronto, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering. Gershom is both a published composer and writer, and also holds an Associateship with the Royal Conservatory of Canada in Piano Performance with distinctions in music theory. He has many years of experience tutoring physics, mathematics, music theory and standardized exams such as the SSAT, SAT and ACT.

Central Saint Martins
Melinda graduated from Central Saint Martins with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Marketing. She is also a graduate of the King George V School in Hong Kong. Melinda has extensive experience working in various fashion houses and retail companies, including Lane Crawford, Raf Simons and Agatha Paris, and is currently working on the launch of her own swimwear brand in Asia.
She enjoys helping students who aspire to pursue their education and careers in art, design and fashion, by working closely with them through the unique application process and helping them develop strong portfolios.
U.K. Medical School Advisor
Tom studied medicine at the University of Warwick's graduate-entry programme. He graduated from University College London (UCL) with a degree in Physiology & Pharmacology. Tom received the highest mark on his laboratory-based dissertation in cardiovascular disease.
Prior to Warwick, Tom worked for four years with adolescents with mental health disorders on an inpatient unit, whilst also working as a research assistant with the University of Oxford. Tom has published one review article on cannabis use in adolescence, and a primary paper on brain developments in adolescents with schizophrenia. Tom advises for undergraduate and graduate level Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Physiology and Pharmacology related courses.
Hayley received a First-Class Honours degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London. Prior to that, she attended Badminton School, a top boarding school in the U.K.
Hayley achieved A*s in both Maths and Further Maths, and an A in Physics and Economics at A-Levels. Hayley is passionate in working with students and enjoys tutoring them in maths, economics and physics.
Mildred graduated with Honours from Imperial College London with a degree in Chemistry and is completing her Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at University of Cambridge, specialising in Secondary Science. Currently, she is pursuing a M.A. in Child and Family Education at the Education University of Hong Kong.
Prior to attending university, she attended Maryknoll Convent School and Roedean School, a boarding school in England, and achieved A*/A on 12 GCSE subjects and 4 A-Level subjects. She won the Silver Award for the U.K. Senior Mathematical Challenge and the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge. Mildred enjoys working with students and tutoring them in maths and science.

Santhia graduated from the University of Western Australia, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Anatomical Sciences and also a Graduate Diploma of Education, with a focus on secondary and special needs education. Santhia enjoys working with students of all ages and tutors them on a range of subjects including English, mathematics, biology, and chemistry. She also helps students prepare for standardized exams such as the SSAT, SAT, ACT and the Common Entrance.
Louis earned his A.B. in Social Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley and J.D. from Hastings School of Law, University of California. He has over 30 years of experience teaching at the secondary and tertiary levels in subjects ranging from English to social sciences and law.
Olivia graduated from University College London with a degree in Anthropology. She continued on to complete a Masters in International Journalism at City University London. Before university, she attended St. Paul’s Co-educational College and Charterhouse in the U.K. Olivia specialises in tutoring creative writing as well as the humanities, including geography, history, and economics.

Cora is a pioneer in marriage, parent, child, and family coaching, and has worked with hundreds of families for over 10 years. A coach, speaker, trainer and parent of two teenagers herself, Cora strives to foster understanding by bridging generational and cultural gaps, and makes difficult and sensitive topics accessible to any audience.
Cora holds two degrees from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Board Certified Life Coach. She has spoken at and worked with families in a number of international and local schools, and also corporates, in Hong Kong.
