These subject-specific courses support primary and secondary school students on English, math and science. Classes are personalized and will follow your child’s school curriculum. Our tutors will help students stay on top of the concepts they learn in school, excel on assignments, and build strong foundations that are essential for academic success. Reading & Writing Course

Suitable for: Year 7-10 | Grade 6-9
Format: One-on-One | In Person or Online
Course Length: 15 hours

This course will take on a personalized approach to strengthen students’ reading comprehension and writing to build a better foundation for classroom and exam success. It will cover genres commonly studied at school, including prose, poetry, drama and literary nonfiction. Students will learn to analyze, organize and edit texts and refine their language usage. It will also cover the basics of drafting a literary analysis essay, including proper citation usage.

Math Booster Course (High School)

Suitable for: Year 10-13 | Grade 9-12 
Format: One-on-One | In Person or Online
Course Length: 15 hours

In this math booster course, students will review fundamental concepts to prepare for upper high school math courses and standardized pre-college exams. This course is ideal for students who need to fill gaps in their math education or are seeking to get a head start on college preparatory work.  Lessons will be tailored to each student’s particular needs. The course is example and practice-based, with a focus on commonly-missed topics.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Courses

IB DP Courses (various subjects)

Suitable for: Year 12-13 | Grade 11-12
Course Format: One-on-One | In Person or Online
Course Length: 15 hours

These subject-specific courses take on a customized approach to support students on higher level (HL) and standard level (SL) IB DP subjects. We pair our students with expert IB tutors to master course materials, effectively tackle assignments, and excel on internal assessments (IAs) and IB exams. Extended Essay (EE)

Suitable for: Year 12-13 | Grade 11-12

Course Length: 15 hours

The Extended Essay (EE) is a 4,000-word research paper that all IB DP students must complete. As a critical part of the final IB score, the EE can be intimidating for many students. Whether students need help formulating an appropriate research question, engaging in a personal exploration of the topic, communicating ideas, and/or developing an argument, we are here to help. We pair students one-on-one with an EE specialist to help them produce work that will be externally assessed at the highest standard. Additional hours are available for purchase, if needed.

Theory of Knowledge (TOK)

Suitable for: Year 12-13 | Grade 11-12
Course Format: One-on-One | In Person or Online
Course Length: 15 hours

TOK is a compulsory module for IB DP students. It features a 1,600-word essay and an assessed presentation that encourages students to reflect on the nature of knowledge. Our TOK specialists will work one-on-one with students to explore the fundamentals of TOK, aid students in cultivating a philosophical mindset, apply TOK thinking to real-life situations for their presentation, and provide essential presentation tips and project help. Additional hours are available for purchase, if needed.

IB MYP Courses (various subjects)

For students who will be taking the ISEE for entrance into international schools or independent day schools.
